Hi, so after looking around for an option to get the weight off the old arms, use a quick release option for the monopod and use a Peak Design strap that was tucked away for a quite a while I purchased the iFootage cobra 3 quick release option, now what I need to find is a way of attaching the iFootage head to the monopod without having to keep taking off the Arca Swiss plate from the lens foot that I use when out in the hide with the tripod, yes there is the option to attach the iFootage to the camera body but then the weight is not distributed evenly.
The Arca Swiss plate I use has two screw options and I use both to get a good connection to the lens collar of the 180-600mm.
So I have the Arca Swiss plate attached to the Lens foot, the strap with one end attached to the lens and the other to the Arca Swiss plate now the iFootage attached to ????
Thanks for any advice, Russ.

If I understand correctly, one solution is to attach an Arca Swiss clamp to the iFootage release top. Yes, it may be a bit of a 'cludge' but you would still be able to leave the AS plate on the lens and be able to utilise the Cobra 3 QR function.......both as needed

Edit ~ having said the above...... another solution is to dispense with the Cobra 3 and use a tilt head on the monopod (gives some range of movements compared to a direct attachment to the monopod) with a lever action AS clamp.

Thanks, looking at the option of attaching a release plate to the top of IFootage, looks a good option, the iFootage is arriving today so need to wait and see what I can do with a release plate on top.

O.k I have a Z8 and 180-600 , my Nikon tripod foot has been swapped for a houge one with inbuilt arca foot and a QD hole ,so that enables over the shoulder carrying , on the camera I have a the base unit L bracket ( side removed) that has a QD mount as well. To use a tripod or monopod simply change the. QD mount from one to other takes all of five seconds
