Ilford have a data sheet and wotnot. I'd think it would say in there if there were any special treatment.

Only way to find out is to shoot 2 rolls in the same conditions and develop one that day and ignore the other for a couple of weeks and see whether there is any difference....

I've seen images processed and printed several years after exposure.
In the 1960s, a friend "souped" a couple of films, found in his home. They'd been exposed by his father ,when he was in the USA as a liaison to the US Army Air Force, around 1942. I helped him print them to 10x8 and the results were surprisingly good. The latent image keeps for a long time, unless it's abused by, for example, storing it next to a cooker or some other source of heat.

It's only in recent years that the poor lant image stability of Pan F has been noted as a problem. It was introduced in 1951. and then as PanF Plis in 1992, I have a 1983 datashhet for PAn F and there's no mention of processing within thre months.
Agfa ceased production of APX25 in 2003 as a key compoment was no longer available, a decade leterMirko of Adox stated that they couldn't make a new version of the old EFKE 25 for a similar reason. In both cases the cost of R&D for such relatively low volume films eas uneconomic. It's quite likely that Ilford may have had to make a minor adjustment to PanF Plus at some stage.
I used some PanF Plus in my Microcord, I left a partially exposed film in the camera, and an exposed roll alongside on a shelf. When I processed the films a year later they were toast, very little omage left and mottled, completely useless.
In this respect PanF Plus is quite different to other films, normally my films are processed the same day or the next. The images I lost were not important. I'd been given the PanF and was testing the cameras Ross Xpres lens, which is actually excellent.

Try to keep it in the fridge after exposure too, I had some in my office suffer through a few weeks in a hot summer and not come out at all

I've owned two Microcords and they both had the same single fault: the sprung unlock button in the middle of the winding knob would go. That one annoying fault apart, I also found them very good and even better value for money in the 1970s - probably because the bad news about the wind had got about!
