So having given up wedding photography and selling all gear to fund a guitar amp I am jonesing for a camera again. I think I've decided to go for an EM10 due to the price/quality ratio and the m43 lenses on offer.

I intially had canon gear including a 5d2 with 35l and 135l and then went to fuji xpro1 and xe1. I was happy with the image quality but i felt i was always fighting to get the best out of it due to the lethargic af. I know this has been improved but they seem a ways behind other systems.

Having looked at the m43 system it seems IQ is perfectly acceptable and it focuses fast. Im liking the looks of the 17mm 25mm and 45mm primes and having looked at lots of images with these lenses I am pretty much settled.

I like the size too as I'm more inclined to be able to take it with me and it will also be perfect for street photography.

Am I missing anything?
 
I wouldnt say the XT1 is way behind M43, depends on how you focus, CAF XT1 is supposedly better, SAF M43 is supposedly better. The XT1 is definitely a big step up in terms of AF over the XP1 and XE1.
 
The E-M10 is a lovely size and as you say small and light is good for taking out with you. You can't really go wrong with any of the Olympus lenses either! One thing is that a lot of people find they need to buy the grip if using the heavier lenses, or they have larger hands!
Having said all that I am contemplating selling my E-M10 with grip, as I also have an E-M5 MKII and as much as I love the smaller size of the E-M10 with Christmas round the corner I am finding it hard to justify keeping it!

Im not really interested in CAF. I like the touch screen focus too of the Olympus and the price for equivalent gear seems cheaper too.
 
Good choice, although personally I went for Panny bodies but I do have the Oly 17, 25 and 45mm f1.8's and I can recommend them all. I bought them all used and saved quite a bit :D

I also have the Panny 14 and 20mm, I bought the 14mm used.

Although I use primes almost exclusively I like to have zooms available even if I only use them a few times a year. I recently picked up the Oly 9-18 to go with my Panny 14-42 and 45-200mm.

The only thing I keep thinking of adding is a 12-35mm f2.8. Worth thinking about one of these?
 
What sort of prices do those primes go for used. I haven't really been looking at the market for a while?

I think the cheapest was the 14mm at about £90 and I think the 25 and 45 were about £150 or a little less. The 17mm f1.8 was more expensive, can't remember how much it was but I do remember that it was a significant saving over new. MFT tend to crop up on the usual used sellers sites and in the classified section here quite often.

Smaller sensor generally means cheaper, smaller lenses.

Cheers, that pretty decent prices. The 17 is what I most want as I love that FOV and the 25 would be a close 2nd. I would be happy just having one. If i buy new it seems worth it to get the 14-42 as it ends up being about £60 difference or a bit more for the EZ.
 
All the primes you listed are a very good choice and priced well. I found the 25 stunning and the 45 just as good but a bit long.
 
I had the EM10 before 'upgrading' to the EM5-II and can honestly say that it is a great little camera, providing you are willing to accept the obvious limitations such as C-AF/tracking, relatively small (although perfectly adequate) viewfinder, and lack of weather sealing. Image quality is excellent, especially considering the size and weight of the system. I do find myself having to tweak WB in post noticeably more than my D750, but other than that I have little to complain about.

I can't comment on all of the lenses, but I have the 45mm f1.8 and it is a real cracker considering the price, and the extra 5mm over the conventional 85mm lens is neither here nor there for me. OK, so money no object I'd have the Noct 42.5mm, but for the price you'd struggle to beat the 45mm. I recently went to a free Olympus tutorial/studio class and was mighty impressed with the 45mm, detail and sharpness was excellent. I think the model was slightly less impressed as it showed all the skin flaws ;) I actually had to apply quite a lot of skin softening in post.

The build quality is really nice as is the snap/manual focus facility.

I barely noticed the difference in size when I upgraded. In fact I don't think I noticed the size difference, only a bit more weight which you'd expect with weather sealing.
