well i had my interview today for a BTEC national diploma in photography and i aced the interview, even better is that the interviewer was the same person who i spoke to at the open day so we got on really well. he looked at my portfolio and said that its was brilliant and that i had potential, and on his report he did he put me as top grade for attending, top grade for portfolio and top grade for the interview overall. he even gave me a few photographers to look at aswell. he says im pretty much guaranteed a placement and all i need is my 4 GCSE's. i cant wait, i even sponsored the forum claiming that it was a massive help in my photography.

What you planning to do when your out of college and in the big wide world?

I too have planned to go to college, but on a part time - night class :) As I am in full time work, I can't afford to go back into full time ed :( But hey, learnings, learning :)

I do hope though that English isn't one of the GCSEs you need :help:

in the interview they asked where i see myself in 5-10 years time and im hoping to start off working for a photo studio as an assistant or photographer then gradually move on and try and get a career in the fashion and advertising industry.
 
Congrats Luke on the acceptance :thumbs: there is one thing that intrigues me though :thinking: Taking an interest in this thread I thought I would have a quick look at some of your work, but I cannot seem to find any pictures posted on TP :shrug: It would be nice if you could post a couple from your portfolio even.

heres my carbonmade portfolio, that has all the pics i shown at the interview. i was even told i had the best presentation as my images were 8x6 mounted on A4 card and he thought it was very professional.
