My Tamron 70-300 with macro switch just died and is currently back with the supplier.

Yesterday my wonderful 3 year old grabbed hold of the Tamron 90 I bought in perfect condition here less than 3 weeks ago - there was an audible click and now the focus ring won't work.

Can it be repaired or will I just have to wait until I can find the money to get a new one again?
 
does the focus ring work the same as a Sigma 105?? Mine clicks back for manual focus and clicks forward for auto focus :shrug:

Probably Does - I have been trying to figure that out from the instructions it says to turn the focus ring - but nothing I am doing it making it click back.

He didn't grab it that hard.

Does yours make a loud click les?
 
Does it push or turn?? Just a though - I've been nervous of forcing it.

I think it's the same as my Tokina, you have to grab hold of the focus ring and push it forwards or backwards to engage or disengage the focus mechanism clutch, it can be a bit stiff. HTH.
 
Thanks both the instructions said turn not push :), now we can go for a lovely bug hunt again today.
