Hi, well after the arrival of my 30D i never realised how much bigger it is than my 350d ( and is so much better to hold and grip!) anyways, upto now ive had bag thats done the job but even before my 30D came, it started to get very crowded, but mainly because i kept everything in there.

I now have the 30D in it, but as its wider the bag is a little tight which i dont realy like. Also upto now ive never kept a lens on my cameras, just a cap?

So... i either take things out that i dont use "all the time" such as wireless triggers, one of two flash guns and some filters.

Or what i would rather do is whilst im upgrading Camera and tripod so far, upgrade to a new bag.

So ive been looking around and i just cant decide. Problem is, there expensive and i am aware of that, so im all for used equipment, so ebay and here are my main two place ive searched so far.

First problem is, cant decide on shoulder or backpack. My current one is a shoulder one and never been a problem the only reason i thought about a backpack is because im doing more "walks" and landscape shots. BUT do i really want to carry two flash guns all lenses, wireless triggers and unused filters with me whilst walking? Im sure not.

So do i go for a large shoulder back to hold everything, and then just have a small bag/case for walks with cam and lens.

One shoulder bag that caught the eye is the tamrac system 6 Ebay Linky

But unsure if thats any bigger than what i have? It looks it! but the dimensions seem small ,is it one of them clever optical illusion sellers can do? :bat:

So..advice would be welcome on ideas about what bag i should get?

Thanks
Andy

I use a shoulder bag or a waist bag as I find backpacks are a pain if you want to keep taking photo's as you walk. You can get more in a backpack and carry it comfortably for long distances though.

I use a Lowerpro slingshot (200AW) as it has the advantage of just slinging it round to the front, opening just enough zip to grab the camera and shoot. It has just the one shoulder strap and a waist strap that hides away it not required. Also has fold out rain (shower) cover that has come in handy one or twice. A fair few on ebay, both new and used.
