iMac 27"... could it be lugged out to clients?

I'm close to getting an iMac 27".

It's a big old lump, but let's face it, it's just a screen with a keyboard and mouse/pad... does anyone use theirs to show clients at their home (that's the client's home) is it possible? :shrug:

Theoretically yes, but it weighs over 20 pounds, I certainly wouldn't, I'd be too scared of scratching that georgeous screen, although you can buy a travel case for it.

I have the 21.5" and move it around the house all the time. The only cable coming off it is the power lead. I'm not sure if a 27" would be a little on the large side to take to clients homes. The 21" or an ipad would be a much better idea.

I wouldn't risk taking my iMac out of the house. I love it too much.

For this situation you might be better off with a cheap 17" laptop with a high res screen.

Mmmm maybe you are right... with such a lovely big high res screen I'll just have to invite them to me then, once I've got it... saves lugging the Kaleidoscope frame sample board too LOL.
