Image Capture. How to stop images opening after downloading.

I am using a iMac and Image Capture to download all images from camera SD card. However, how can I stop all images opening after downloading. After an extensive photo trip I have to wait some time for all images to open on desktop before proceeding. Or is there a better way of importing images?

Personally I would just copy and paste them into a folder of my choice.
