Image Galleries?

Apologies for what may be a stupid question. I've been looking at the football galleries of websites like SkySports and UEFA.com and I am quite attracted to the slideshows they have with clickable thumbnails and captions. Problem is, I can't work out quite how they've done it, does anyone know? I can find image slideshow codes that are close, but missing at least one element.

looks like a simplegallery or jalbum type thing to me, download them free www.jalbum.net or http://www.simpleviewer.net/simpleviewer/

you can make pages like this with photoshop and bridge

These are usually XML files, using flash and actionscript. They can be downloaded from many places, but they usually require a little bit of knowledge in Flash, HTML etc to make them work well within your website.
