Edit My Images
Yes
I was having a first play with a new set of lights at the weekend and although the images looked ok on the back of my camera once on the computer they were a bit dull. Although not ideal this was easily fixed using PS, obviously in future I need to improve my technique to get this right in the first place.

Although I improved the images using PS I did though also notice that the images were not as sharp as normal when you zoomed into the detail.

If an image is a bit dark could this also mean that there is lost detail and could be a contributing factor as to why the image quality is not as good as normal or will this have nothing to do with it and be completely unrelated?

Do you shoot RAW or JPEG?

I believe what is shown on the LCD is the camera's onboard processed JPEG (even if you save as RAW) so if you then put it on your computer as a RAW you'll need to sort out white balance, curves and maybe add sharpening etc.

If you process using Canon's software it will automatically process it as though the camera saved as JPEG and allow your modification, whereas lightroom/photoshop won't so anything at all so you need to do it all yourself

Hi
I do shoot raw which mean then sort out the white balance etc afterwards using ACR but I have not had to touch on the sharpening before as the images up until now have been ok.
