Image recovery

I accidentally delated some images from my external hard drive :bonk:

does anyone know of free software to enable recovery?

Have a google around for undelete tools or file recovery tools.

There are loads on the market.
 
did that - they all cost £££££ :'(

Looking for some free software, only need to recover 10 images

Tried that my Anti Virus software warned of virus- so I cancelled the download

Warned you that a downloaded exe file might contain a virus or told you that it was a virus? I just scanned it with AVG version 2012.0.1913 virus database 2114/4878 (release date 18/03/2012) and it came up clean. Sometimes anti-virus software will give false positives (I'm not saying that this is the case though)
 
Just warned me- so I didnt continue the down load :shrug: I run Kaspersky

Found one called "Recuva" It's free so Im running that to see if I can find these missing images

How did you get on with Recuver?
 
Its a good programme, unfortunaley the images had been over written, so I couldnt recover them :thumbsdown:
