Just a quick tip
If buying a
second hand camera ask for a shutter count first(the amount of pictures the camera has taken) The higher the count the cheaper should be the camera price. If I was going to buy a used camera anything over 10,000 clicks I would not touch even thought the shutter count average is around 150,000 give or take a few thous. Also if it has been in for repair or sensor clean.
A car for example can be clean and shiny on the outside but the engine knackered, same with cameras
A "grey import" is one that has come into the UK not via a main UK dealer is the simplest answer. There are companies in the UK selling them cheaper and I am not knocking them but beware you may be caught for import duty and repairs might be a problem as well.
Companies like Nikon or Canon may not touch them so it would be down to find an independent repairer
