In camera noise reduction

If I'm going to be using Noise Ninja is it worth turning the NR feature off in camera? I took some shots at high ISO the other night at a football match, noise ninja did an ok job but a lot of the shots were left looking fairly soft. Just wondering if it would have been better to let NN do all the work and turn the NR function off in future.

Any thoughts?

personally i'd switch the in camera noise control off if you are intending to use NN this can also apply to in camera sharpening if your sharpen post capture it's best switched off imo hope that helps
