Guys i know there was a thread a few weeks ago asking if there was a point to this lens. I would like to state that yes there is !!! I was photographing a kids party on Sunday in some soft play area me and there were rubber poles and slides and all sorts with not much room between them for shooting. I couldn't even take any shots with my 85mm f1.8 as the subjects were too close so i did the whole shoot with my 50mm f1.8 and the mother was delighted. The lighting was also pretty poor but the lens handled it very well. I can't think of a lens anywhere near the same price bracket that i could have used in the same situation. The nifty fifty is here to stay.
