The Sony 50mm f/1.8 - it seems that this is the only place which sells it?! But it's out of stock... I did find it on one or two other sites but at a price of £150+

Are there decent sites out there for Sony lenses?

It's to fit my Sony A300.

Thats probably why they're out of stock

Have you had a look on Camera Price Buster web site and looked in the Sony section :shrug:

Lenses aren't even listed on that site.

I can't believe people have picked up Canon nifty's for £50 just last year. You'd think that the f/1.8 lenses would be quite popular with Sony users but I must be wrong, I can't find these anywhere!

Might be worth looking at all the sites it recommends for buying the cameras though and searching them for best price for you lens ?

You don't need one that badly. Get something nice like a Sigma 24mm 2.8 instead.
