So, what would you like to shoot today? No answer from any
of the 16 mentorees present in front of the studio. None.
I instructed them to pack in as few cars as possible: "Be ready
in three minutes, we're going for a short ride!" I said. Three got
in my car and I took them all… to the Anglican Cemetery.
In an unexpected environment, you will be left with both your
curiosity and creativity. Here, you most sombre, lugubre, and
dark thoughts should be inspired. Maybe you could explore
other directions like history, ephemerality, or else. Your assign-
ment is, ultimately, a conversion to monochrome with the im-
plied possible and traditional treatments.
