Hi Peter, I know exactly how you are feeling. I was a REME technician in Germany in the 1970's and after leaving the Regulars I wore several different cap badges in the TA. After so many years of thinking of Her Majesty as "The Boss" my life feels more than just a little bit empty.

I was doing a recce for this year's local Remembrance parade this morning and found myself stood at the war memorial staring at the photo of Her Majesty and the flowers laid around with a couple of other old soaks and the dam finally burst - I cried like a baby . Had to go for a beer to recover my composure
