Yes
I've just picked up my 40d and 25-105L from the Canon Service centre in Boreham Wood/Elstree.

Not often you hear this about these sort of places but they were excellent. The turned it around in a day and a half, serviced and calibrated.

I also stupidly left my crumpler bag in reception when dropping off the camera but they phoned me up to tell me that they'd look after it until i picked up the camera.

The camera is working like a charm as well.

If you dont mid me askining how much did the service and calibration cost.

I have a 350d and a couple of lenses to get done!

Service was £80 for the camera and calibration and lens cleaning and checking was another £30.

I needed them both for a shoot this weekend so was a bit unsure about the length of time it would take. Very pleased.

Not had anything serviced, but I had to send my old 1000D to a Canon Service Repair Centre under warranty to get repaired, and they were amazingly quick with it. A lot quicker than I had expected, I think from the time they received it, it was only a few days until I received it back on my doorstep.

Sadly not my experience.

Canon 100-400L developed a fault so I sent it off to them for repair, 23 days now and still no sign of getting it back. Maybe because it's outside warrenty.

5D2 sent back for replacement screen under CPS service, back in 4 days with no Autofocus. Sent back and got told it had a custom program had been set the following day ( always use UPS ) funny that I never use custom settings.

They are reasonably good but seem to trip over their own feet most of the time.

Mine and my son's experience with them has been first class.

I have had 1 bad CPS experiance, they calibrated it and it was a mile out and it took 3 goes to get it right but they paid for collection every time, fitted a new mount and servived and calibrated my mk2n all for free.So it ended up a good experiance.
