With the 4th of July coming up. I was wondering if anyone had any tips on how to photograph fireworks?

Hi Amy, firstly welcome to the forum, secondly when I comes to photographing fireworks I've written a guide to that, a link to that thread can be seen in my signature..

However generally I world say you want to shoot at roughly f/8-13 in bulb mode so you can determine how long the exposure is in relation to how intense the display is, some big professional displays actually rarely need in excess of a 10 second exposure as otherwise areas of intense activity will just blow own and you'll just have a big white blob...finally to ISO this is one where I've changed my advise over the year, I used to shoot only at base ISO so 50/100 but in recent years I've found that actually my best results come from a slightly higher ISO of 400-640 as this means you'll also pick out detail in the landscape any questions you have I'll be happy to try and help
