Some of you may remember me asking for photography/travel advice on a business trip I was making to India in November 2009. Well I went and while there was able to take some photos. Now, in the cold winter months, I am sorting, processing and adding a short commentary to them. I will post all the photos on my Flickr and Smugmug sites but here is a small selection. Oh, and many thanks for all the very helpful advice.
Here's the Kit I eventually took:
Olympus E-3/Olympus E510 Backup (E-620 left at home because of battery compatibility)
ZD 14-54mm Mk1
ZD 70-300mm
ZD 9-18mm
Kata DR467 Bag (great for air travel)
5 batteries, two chargers and 5 x 4G CF cards!
UV filters for Lenses
Card reader
All photos shot RAW + Medium Jpeg
This is part 1 of a 4 part set which I will be processing and uploading during January 2010
#1 View across towards the INS hills, Lonavala
#2 My friend Salil's strength is in IT and not Botany. His help in identifying this plant when I enquired ... "What type of plant is that Salil?" he said. "A Wild one". I love being in IT!
I'm sure one day we will learn its proper name.
#3 Salil and I spent many minutes chasing butterflies. This one was my best capture.
#4 Little Spider with a funnel shaped web.
#5 Many people on the Road from Lonavala to Amby Valley tooted and waved. They were smiling so I don't think they were cross!
There are a few more and you can view larger sizes of these on my Flickr site.

Hope you enjoy.

Will you mind if I share a few from Pt 2-4?
