This definitely won't be to everyone's (or maybe even anyone's) tastes but I had an idea of a really gritty and dark image from one of the limestone pavements. This was taken back in September on the way back from Ingleton. The original was a 63 second exposure using a big stopper to try to bring out some streaks in the clouds although there wasn't much wind at the time.

Great shot a great B/W really moody and gritty

This is a "Cracking" shot Peter, not really much more I can say.(y)

George.

My initial impression was perhaps a little on the heavy side, but it’s so strong you come back for another look. On reflection it exactly matches my recollection of many walks in that area so the author should be commended for accurately capturing both the image and ‘feel’ of this area.

So what, it MAY not be to everyone's taste...
But it certainly IS to mine.
It's a stunning image.
Brilliantly seen and excellently executed.

I think this is great and very different way to make a fairly bland subject very interesting and dramatic.
