Inspiration for a competition.

Looking to enter my first ever competition with the topic of *tidal*

But living by the coast I'm really struggling for inspiration for that WOW shot as I live with the coast day in day out.

Does anybody have any suggestions for a good shot? Or maybe a shot they have taken?

Hey Scottynooo , dusk or dawn shot will give the most dramatic with a great colorful cloudy sky, would be nice if the cloud cover is moving fast.
Then go really low angle shot and a very long exposure.
Pick something that is on the beach for a good focal point in the foreground ( rockformation ,positioned drift wood, ect)
That can really draw the eye in, you could even take something with you and stage it.
Then mess with it on PS to dramatize it more.
I took my youngest son to the beach a couple years back and when he got on to the beach he just stood there staring amazed by the sea.
So I shot low at about his hip Hight from just behind him and with strong wind and overcast sky caught an amazing shot.
I converted it to b/w and it look amazing,
I got it printed on to canvas and it's sat on the wall.
I always remember his words " wow that's a big puddle daddy "
