So, after starting photography about a month ago, I'm running a bit low on inspiration and ideas!!

My kit consists of a D5000, 18-55 kit lens, tamron 79-200, Nikon 50mm f1.8 and a remote shutter release!!

I have been out and taken a few landscape shots and room some good candid shots at a recent party!

What else can i do to keep it all fresh??

Thanks

Autumn has just started! Go for a walk in the countryside and you will find inspiration all around you - trees, leaves, fungi, birds, deer, other walkers, dogs, berries, pine cones...
I take the camera out each day when I walk the dog and the countryside is beautiful and inspirational at present - you will be spoiled for choice!

So much to take pictures of, let your imagination run wild. Clearer nights why not get out and do some star trails. As Sue states autumn is upon us, so the scenery will change.
Bonfire night be upon us soon, then xmas and new year so plenty of things to keep you occuppied.

Thanks for the advice guys! I forgot to mention that I do have a tripod!

I have tried a few star trails but I'm not sure what the best lens (out if the ones I own) to use. And the ones that I have done, the stars don't look very sharp at all! Can anyone give me a few pointers for some settings??

Cheers

i was a little bit the same especially as nearly all my photos were motorsport related and i have spent very little time at the tracks this year due a little lady coming into my life.

I explored different photos to be taken including landscapes but one that really freshened me up was light painting, strangely addictive too and then started the star trails.

I also joined various groups on flickr and found inspiration from looking at other peoples photos

hope this helps
