Yes
I'd like to insure my kit (amateur only) and also have cover for taking it abroad (worldwide) as well as the odd time it gets left in the boot.

anyone's advice would much appreciated, as I know from experience this can be a minefield!!! (and by golly, having worked in insurance, don't they find any excuse not to pay! :annoyed: )

thanks ;)

Hi Maria , I'm with Photoguard, and as the policy needs renewing, I thought I'd have a look around. After reading the security requirements of E&L and Photogard I was a bit shocked so I decided to give my home insurance a call. Told them what I wanted to insure and they covered me for all of it in the house and £2,500 in the car with full accidental damage. Extra £5 a month. Sorted!

Oh god. hear we go again..:lol:

Do not use E & L unless you like throwing money away. Maybe do a search on here for an explanation. ;)

Kev.

thanks everyone, I have to admit E&L caught my eye but having heard many many bad reports about them......

Kev, I'll take your word for it thanks, and Dave - I'll be in touch with our home insurance to add all the bits on

thanks again everyone ;)

well - I've looked into adding it on to the home contents insurance - as long as no individual item is over £1500 (which they're not) I'm covered upto £7500 with 60 days worldwide and continuous europe as part of the policy anyway :)

only £50 excess, and if all is lost as 'one' the Nationwide has confirmed they would treat it as 'one' lot and only one excess amount would be payable.

Happy days :D and good call Dave and existent
