Hi everyone,

I was wondering if you guys recommend any good insurance companies I've heard if aaduki, is this any good?

I have about £4000 worth of stuff that I mainly use in the UK, I'm not making any Money out of my work and not a business, I travel 3-4 times a year with my stuff.

So what do you recommend.

Many thanks,

Kardo

I use Aaduki. Can't say what their claims are like because I haven't had cause to use them but otherwise they are good. Just under £200 for £11K cover with £6K out at any one time. I pay £25 odd over 10 months including my £2100 laptop as well

I use Glover Howe, again not had to claim yet myself although I read a previous thread on herer a while back whereby two members had claimed and all was good.

I have around £4,300 insured. last premium was £136 I believe. Amateur insurance pretty good policy, items are insured in a car from 06:00-21:00 (although a car claim excess is up to £500) normal excess is up to £150

I also use Aaduki and yes they do cover damage as well as theft. Obviously there are certain terms in place but nothing out of the norm.

I use E & L Insurance, I have about 3K of equiptment and it cost me about £4.60 per month.
This covers for accidental damage or theft but not if I leave it in a car, you pay extra for that.
Also from memory you can take your kit abroad for up to 60days per year included. YOu have to inform them when you go.

I hope if you ever have to make a claim with E&L that it goes against the normal grain and you have a smooth ride. I would never, ever recommend that company to enemy or friend alike.

I would be very wary of E&L they don't have claims department they have a claims avoidance department.

IF you have a house alarm your insurance with them will be VOID unless the alarm is NACOSS and it is annually checked! EVEN if you don't need a house alarm!!!! --- I could not believe that one.

I use photoguard myself for my £2000 worth of stuff and have been for almost a year.
I haven't made a claim as of yet so I can't give any advice on their speed of claims dealing but you can amend your policy online at anytime.
I was going to us E & L but after reading the forums and opinions I though it a good idea not to.
Hope this helps.
