Right, I've decided I can't put this off any longer. Some of my kit I would probably never be able to replace if anything happened to it.

One thing is confusing me... My more expensive kit is mostly second hand, non-current models. Do I insure these for the current value, or the cost of an equivalent new one?

It'll depend on the insurance company and whether they work on a new-for-old basis. Photoguard do which means something like say a D2h has to be valued as a D3s and the premium is then based on the £3k+ replacement value of the newer camera....

One more - would attending Motorsport events (non-media) be described as particularly hazardous? :D
