As the title suggests I’m looking for personal recommendations for photography gear insurance.

I’m adding my kit to the household insurance but that is prohibitively expensive if I want it insured outside of the home.

Really? My House insurance went up by about £30 to cover 25K of gear in the house and 20K when out and about - I can't carry it all!. This is "All Risks" + up to 30 days outside the UK. The whole policy is far cheaper than the best quote I got for camera gear alone! So I get my house and contents thrown in and it's still cheaper.

I am insured through Santander Bank, might be worth a look?

Added to home insurance through hastings. About 10-15% of specialist insurance, £30k replacement cost, £15k out of home.

Might be cheaper looking at a different home insurance policy

Mine's added to home insurance with E-sure. New for old with any item over £1500 (replacement cost) itemised. Cost has barely changed since adding it on.
