Hi, after reading the thread from Dogfish_magnet about his lightly damaged! sigma 105, I was wondering about insurance for my kit

1) Am I covered under my household contents?
2) What about holiday cover?
3) Can anyone recommend a specific policy?
 
Celery - I upgraded my household insurance to cover personal belongings when away from the house, so its not just the camera thats covered but things like the laptop / phones / bikes fishing gear etc,etc, You just have to list any single item over £1000.
 
Check your household insurance. you are probably covered, but check . You need to double check what the total limit of all risks and what the Single item limit is. You don't want to find out that you £500 camera has a single item limit of £300. If in doubt talk to your insurer>
