what does everyone do with regard to insuriung their kit? I'm thinking now that i have an expensive camera, L series lens, Ipad etc it might be an idea to get it all insured. is it worth out taking out a seperate policy or should I get these items listed on the house contents insurance?

I've seem website that advertise "gadget" insurance....anyone tried these?

Obviously i want the stuff insured for away from home and to cover accidental breakage as well as theft.

How do you go on insuring it you bought second hand that you don't have a reciept to prove you owned it in the first place?

I use aaduki, not too expensive for quite a lot of gear, cover your mobile and laptop too + they're based 8 miles from my family home, nice and easy if I ever have a problem!
 
i've got all my kit insured with photoguard: http://www.photoguard.co.uk/

the good thing about a specific policy instead of your household insurance is that it won't affect your premium and i've chosen not to have an excess.

it costs me about £12 a month to insure all my stuff and it's easy to change your policy to add new lenses etc online.
