Introduction and little help

Hi all
new to this forum

but like my photography as more of a hobby so random pictures down the skatepark, out by the mountains and stuff like that.
i have an olympus om30 which is fantastic as way of film cameras go, so simple and easy to use.
also have a nikon d60 which i find great fun to use not so simple at times but nothing reading the manual a couple of times can't fix

recently being a spur of the moment thing bought a faulty fuji s5000 of ebay.
fault being the CCD. tried everywhere looking for the part seperatly as i don't want to spend 70quid getting it repaired, and would quite happily repair it myself as at the end of the day the camera cost me 10quid.

just wondering if anyone on here knows of a place that sells the CCD unit on its own perhaps?

Welcome to the forum. You will find that ebay and buying a faulty camera is really the only way. If you buy the part itself then you are going to be paying well over the odds.
 
annoyingly there are non i am willing to spend on ebay at the moment >_<

ive found out the part is 40 quid so not to bad.
think i might try down my local camera fair which is fairly soon see whats about there.
 
Oh and just a minor point, we have a section for equipment queries and another for new people. It just helps keep everything in the right place.
 
:bonk: trust me to do that, im usually the one who states that on another forum im on as well. will make sure i look ALOT better next time
