Yes
I picked up the 1tb version yesterday to have a play with NAS and share some music, etc. around the home network.

Installed fine, and I spent hours copying around 130gb of data to it. This morning I started copying some more across when the share name vanished. The drive still showed the space being used but the share was no longer there so I couldn't access the data.

Iomega support couldn't solve it either, I saw a post on their forums that suggested making a new share with the same name might recover it but it didn't.

The drive is all packed up and is going back tomorrow as even if I could find a way to recover the data there's no way I could ever trust it again

A couple of things about this drive:

It says you can plug another USB into the back and it will share that too but it doesn't work with NTFS depsite the docs saying it does.

The print server is pants, it took 5 mins to print a test page from notepad

Shame, I like Iomega drives.

But, have never been a fan of NAS .. am too much of a cynic to trust my data like that :suspect:

I hope you've managed to reformat it, low level, before you send it back?!

It was formatted, but nothing really exciting on there and certainly no personal data
