I've joined your ranks at long last, and I need a good Office type application.
Nothing to in depth for on the go stuff, basic spreadsheet creation / reading and word document ability. Being able to run a powerpoint presentation would be handy, along side opening pdf files.

I have had a quick look at QuickOffice HD, but there's a few conflicting reviews

so........what do you use ?

I 've got the 3 Apple apps - Keynote, Numbers and Pages. In all honesty I don't use them that often but when I've needed to they're very quick and intuitive to use.

That's the thing though Ced, The cost of the 3 apple programs is almost triple that of the main competitors for no real advantage. And as this device will probably only see light usage with office type stuff the costs need to be balanced iykwim

I have a "small" presentation to give next week away from home, so compatibility with Ms devices is a must

Can't argue with that Brian. Maybe just one will do the job? Otherwise I'm sure you'll get loads of suggestions - I've no idea I'm afraid.

Office2Hd user here, it's perfect for all my needs. I use it for essays and business classes at uni. Used in conjunction with Dropbox makes it very useful indeed.

I installed quickoffice hd :)

Seems to be right on the money..... If only the head office IT hadn't decided to block Dropbox and stop me from getting the files I've uploaded.

Would have also been nice to have been able to use the iPhone with the app too.
