Hi there.

Anyone use the iPad to edit pictures? If so what app do people use?

Would be great if the camera and iPad could work closely together too. Ue it as a view finder or as a quick look. Im sure the technology will be about soon, if it isnt already!

I haven't yet got one but I'd be surprised if it was going to be fast enough to run any decent software on it for RAW files, although someone may correct me on that.

PhotoGene is regarded as probably the best there is at the moment but, whilst you can upload RAW files straight from the camera, any editing carried out is done on the embedded JPEG file rather than the RAW itself.

Whether that's a deal breaker or not depends entirely on your intended usage I guess.

I've an iPad and to be honest I wouldn't use it to edit photos. It's OK as a storage and preview device but It's not really suitable for editing.

As said previously what you are seeing is the embedded JPEG so it's not really good enough to check critical sharpness. You are loosing essential detail. However as I said as a preview device and short term storage it's fine

I have a photoshop lite app

not used it to fully edit a picture yet but its good to mess about with

Try Filterstorm. I use it instead of Photogene now.
