Hi guys 'n gals...

Just noticed version 2.2 Update is available for the 3G... :D

Downloading mine as I write... ;)


Apologies if someone else has already covered this off... :shrug: ... I did a cursory search and could not see anything recently added... :suspect:

It's available for the older non 3G as well.
 
iPhone 2.2 Software Update

This update contains many bug fixes and improvements, including the following:
• Enhancements to Maps
- Google Street View
- public transit and walking directions
- display address of dropped pins
- share location via email
• Enhancements to Mail
- resolved isolated issues with scheduled fetching
of email
- improved formatting of wide HTML email
• Improved stability and performance of Safari
• Podcasts are now available for download in iTunes
application (over Wi-Fi and cellular network)
• Decrease in call set-up failures and call drops
• Improved sound quality of visual voicemail messages
• Pressing the Home button from any Home screen takes
you to the first Home screen
• Preference to turn on/off auto-correction in Keyboard

I've upgraded to 2.2. Nothing overly new and sparkly, apart from the wireless podcasts, which I doubt I'll use anyway. Google street view is USA only, unless I've missed something? Any street views for London? Certainly none in Harrogate or Leeds.

Boring! Oh well.
 
Wonder why they left street view off the touch version of the s/w???
 
So you'd have to go and buy an i-Phone..... What me cynical :)

You're probably right but as I don't spend more than about a pound each month making mobile calls they won't be seeing me signing up ;)
