iPhone - Bluetooth access

Yes
Currently to access bluetooth on my iPhone (3gs) it takes a few layers to drill down to get to that option. This isn't ideal for switching it on for stuff like my Parrot hands-free kit. Leaving bluetooth on all the time isn't really an option too as it's a bit of a drain on the battery.

Is there a way of puting an icon on the page(s) where Apps go in order to switch bluetooth off/on?

As always, any help/ advice is appreciated :)

Really? I've always left mine on constantly (3G through to 4) and it's never been an issue.

It does drain the battery faster (as does 3G to a lesser extent), whether you notice it would depend on how you use your phone. If you are keeping it regularly topped up with power through the day it won't be noticable but if you don't have access to power through the day and use the phone for games or surfing the web you will find yourself running low by the night. I've found you can get a good few hours more life out of it by switching bluetooth off.

As for the OPs question - no I don't think you can get the switch on/off any quicker, if there is a way please let me know

My iPhone 3G is always connected to the Parrot and the battery still lasts all day
I have 4 pages of Apps and use them often.
That said, most Push notifications are switched off

you can leave settings on bluetooth so when you double click the home button it will be on bluetooth on/off
or just leave the bluetooth page in settings so when you hit settings your first page is bluetooth on/off

Thanks for the replies chaps. terryuk, I'll go with your method seeing as there's no way to plant a shortcut where the Apps icons are.
