iPhone Bluetooth Question?

Once iPhone and a laptop are connected to each other is it possible to transfer music from the laptop to the Iphone's iPod?

However, on Macrumors.com yesterday was an article on a developer working in wireless syncing of iPhones (using networks rather than bluetooth).

As above, im not sure its possible at present...

If you have a laptop...and and Iphone....why not just plug a cable in and sync using Itunes?
