iPhone question

Will pass my iPhone 3G to wife when I get my new one. She is on a great deal with o2 so can she just pop her sim in, get a bolt on data package and be good to go?

(As long as her sim is 3g, which it will if it is less than around 5 years old)

and if tis not a 3g sim, then go in and get one for free.

If its not a 3g sim it will still work but without 3g

Done that, but no joy on accessing internet. Rang o2 and they gave the settings but no joy and they are now shut!

When you try to connect (wi fi off), it says "Could not activate cellular data network, you are not subscribed to a cellular data service.' Cellular data and data roaming are both on.

Any ideas...

after putting in the settings you need to turn the phone off and back on again to save them
