Hi peeps :)

I'm having a bit of trouble finding a cable for my ipod. :shake:

Now that i've changed cars, the alpine headunit that I previously allowed to control my ipod is sat on my desk doing diddly.

I've lost the full control of the ipod via the HU because the new car only has a 3.5mm AUX in socket. So I need to find a cable that has the dock connector at one end and the 3.5mm plug on the other.

I did find something which used some sort of retractable set up on the lead, but ideally i'm after a short lead that won't look untidy on the center console.


Help me tpf......your my only hope

thats all i could find last night, retractables or 35 euro singles!
 
They sell them in Halfords... nearly bought one, but ended up buying a new Sony HU with all the bits instead - I'd been meaning to replace the Ford unit for a while anyway...
The one they have can be tailored to almost any existing HU...
 
I have an alpine headunit with has built in control for the "pod" sitting on the floor looking sorry for it's self, but just won't look right in the grandad mobile.

Paul, ideally i'm after a short lead, no more than 1m long and i'd rather it wasn't a retractable one so I can hide the cable behind a trim panel.
