Ipod touch to AV receiver

Not sure if this is the right place to post this but here goes. I have just hooked up my touch to the receiver via a 3.5mm jack to phono lead. It works OK but the volume level is low. Would I be better using a Apple type connector to phono lead as this would not be coming out of the earphone socket?

No, it should work just fine with a regular jack.

What are you connecting to? Hifi?

The only thing I can think is it is not pushed all the way in - either you haven't pushed it in, or the jack is too big.

Thanks Barry, you were spot on - the 3.5mm jack was not pushed all the way in, it is working fine now
