IQ?

I keep hearing people talk about the IQ of a lens or a camera, it'd usually in the context of performance or specification. Could some one define what it means in this context.

Image Quality

From what I'd assume, how good an image is in terms of exposure, noise, clarity, sharpness, things like that! I'd also interpret it as being totally separate to composition and artistic stuff, more about what the camera can produce rather than what the photographer can produce. Obviously a hopeless photographer with a great camera and lens might not do it justice, but you get the general idea!
