Is a single garage big enough for a studio?

No
I currently have my home studio in a large spare room. However, I am about to move to a smaller house and will not have this option.

So, would a single garage be big enough?

Thoughts?

depends what you want to shoot - for macro it would be fine! :)

Height is a big factor, not often discussed.
A single garage provides just enough floor space, but there's never enough height..

Still unlikely to be suitable.
I mean it depends what you want to shoot, if its full length humans, you need at least 3m unrestricted, head and shoulders could be doable....maybe, just have to use compact softboxes/brollys/equipment..

Like they say - it's the height - you need space to get those studio lights above head-height to make it work for you...
At a minimum I'd be looking for 12', but preferably more.

Its more than big enough unless you are looking to shoot cars, or massive familes. One of our studios is 6ft x 16ft.

In the four week run up to Christmas we shot 250 people in there (at different times lol). The largest group we shot was three adults (three sisters) and their six children
