Is date code on box

Hi

Does the canon date code appear on the outside of box. Buying a 70-200 this week and want to know if easy way to check before opening up the boxes.

Just had a quick look and I cannot see it on any of my boxes.

Just had a quick look and I cannot see it on any of my boxes.

Can't see one on any of my boxes.

And on the new 70-200 2.8 mkii, the lens doesn't always have a date stamp on it either - this has been confirmed by Canon and not that it was missed during manufactor
