My old Fuji X10 that is, took the dog out this morning, and not enough hands. Tried putting the camera in my Jeans pocket with interesting results. Took the photos with my phone while juggling the dog lead in one hand and phone in the other.

Not a good look, and I wouldn't call that pocketable even though strictly speaking it is ;)

Not good I won't be trying to put the X10 in a jeans pocket again.

Besides I think I caught the flash release button on my pocket, the flash popped up and was difficult to push back in. Thought I had damaged something, but it's OK now :)
 
In this weather? (Hot!) Besides, the jackets I usually wear are quite a good fit (especially since I've put on a pound or 2!) and have very little give in them to accommodate unsightly bulges (and I have plenty of those already!)

The missus is always telling me off, as I keep going out in my Cargo pants. But that's the only pockets I can get the X10 into, well apart from a jacket pocket. I did want a sort of combat/ military style lightweight fleece, the type with loads of pockets in. But I don't want to be paying more than £50 for it though. Been looking for something suitable, I do like the Helikon Infantry Duty Fleece Jacket. If I see one in the shops, I will buy one. But only seen them online.
 
My X10 (now X30) lives in a Lowepro Apex 60; it's a snug fit but it provides decent protection is the smallest possible package - Here's a link
The pouch normally clips to my waist with a carabiner.
If I'm taking lots of shots then it gets transferred to my fleece pocket for quick access.
So yes it is pocketable in my fleece, but the convenience of the pouch means I don't have to double check what I'm wearing before leaving the house. :)

No, its not what I would call truly pocketable, which is why when I had my X20, I also had an XF1 at the same time. XF1 fits nicely in a jeans pocket...it may not work for very long and you might not get ANY photos that arent over-exposed, but it fits nicely in a jeans pocket :D
 
Actually it still looks pretty awful in a jacket packet but hey, your taking photos not modelling.

How about some proper old man jeans. You know the ones where people really shouldn't be wearing jeans, where the jeans have no shape or cut to them, where they are very loose fitting and look ridiculous.

Those kind of jeans would do the trick.

But it's still another think to carry, not keen on bags anymore. I have two camera bags, not used them in ages.

I will stick my XF1 in my Jeans with holes in, and me and the XF1 can both over expose together ;)

A pair of dungarees and a nice check shirt will sort you out, pretend your from the Waltons. :D Loads of room at the front to hold your camera. I used to love mine in the late 70's early 80's.

Still don't think the X10 would fit in them either ;) I have got it in my cargo pants, but not comfy walking. The camera swings in the trouser leg, a light pocket jacket would be better.

The front belly pockets are huge on them, otherwise you can rest it on the inside against your belly. Just dont get them at a, too tight fitting. I speak from experience.;)
