Is it possible to fix a corrupt RAW file?

No
I have 45 images from my street session at the weekend that I can't open. I've tried Preview, Lightroom, PS and Capture NX, but nothing. My card froze on me and I changed it but could still see the images, but since swapping them downloading them, nothing.

I've tried card recovery software and it goes up until the last good image and then fails with an error message. The fact I have these RAW files gives me very faint hope, but am I fighting a losing battle here?

So are the good files off the card now or are you trying all these things to read the card directly?

You need recovery software to get the files off the corrupt card before you can try to open them.

I've had limited success in repairing partially corrupted raws by converting them to DNG. The corruption was limited to rectangular areas, maybe 1/8 of the total picture area, the rest being visible ok. Quite a few turned out ok after conversion, much to my surprise. I don't have much hope in your case, but if the standalone Adobe DNG converter will recognise them, maybe something will come out.

They're off the card and on my laptop. They just won't open.

MisterE, I'll give that a go now, cheers.

Edit: Just tried it, it's saying there are no supported files in the folder I put them in so I guess there's no hope.
