Yes
As the title says is it possible to remove a scratch from a Lee 0.9 HArd Grad in the clear section without killing it optically? The scratch is pretty much in the centre of the clear part and can be felt with the finger nail....

Any help appreciated :)

As said, try it and see.
It is extraordinary just what you can get away with so close to the front element. I had a scratch on the front element of a lens years ago, and it never showed in use!

As far as I know there is no way to remove a scratch from a filter without ruining it, despite some people saying use T-cut/ toothpaste / Brasso, etc etc etc.

Was it a glass or a resin filter?

My mate was giving a photography lecture at uni and for some reason put it on the table after discussing grads without anything under it. It's resin. He's tried since and due to him having a Olympus 4/3rds possibly it is showing in his shots. His other option was gonna be to buy a new one and cut the clear section of making a 0.9 nd.
