is it worth it? (nothing to do with loreal)

I know someone who is selling their canon 350d. These are the widgets it comes with -

2 lenses 18-90 and 28-70
tripod
flashgun
carry case
remote control

All for £500

Is it worth it? and are the lenses good enough for motorsport? (i'll be spectator side of the fence).

what are the apertures of the lenses and the makes?

are the tripod & flashgun good quality or the cheap none descript stuff ???.

as for focal length, at most tracks you need 200mm or more when your spectator side of fence.

not sure..but he's a commercial photographer so i'm guessing its not going to be that cheap and tacky.

When he gets it back (someone else is borrowing it) then he will lend it to me for a few days so i can try it out.

I'll ask him next time i see him.
