Is it worth moving to a TZ7 from a Sony P200

I'm going to Florida at Xmas and will probably not be taking my SLR to all the theme parks etc.

I wondered if compact cameras have moved on much since I got my Sony P200.

I wondered if a Panasonic TZ7 would be a worthwhile upgrade. I'm not too bothered about video recording, as I'll have a Playsport and my phone - both of which do HD.

The only concern is the relatively poor battery life, compared to the P200, which seems to last forever; and also low light performance.

Any thought?
