Yes
Could it do with a proper professional clean?

I've tried an arctic butterfly and cotton buds...but it still won't get rid of those little bits. It also looks like it now has a couple of smears on it...have I buggered it permenantly?

36 Aperture.

Cotton buds!

I think they are too abrasive to to put anywhere near a sensor imho. I've never heard anyone recommend doing that either.

I personally went with Sensor Swabs, and they worked a treat. After few attempts anyway. ;)

A swab with some eclipse fluid should clear that no poblem.

It shows how dirty my laptop screen is!

So me splashing out on some Photographic Solutions sensor swabs is a bit pointless in regards to the tiny smears...

Seen alot worse than that, can help to get it cleaned though.

Got this from another photo fourm.

No, go and get some.

Don't just buy things like that when you really need them, buy some and then you have it handy when you do need it. :)

I don't know if you have photoshop, but if you do use 'auto levels' on your photograph to see the dirt much easier. I've done it to your photo here (and to be honest I've seen a lot of sensors that are worse then yours).

Pah - feeble... Try this...

One dust spot, tried cleaning with blower, ended up emptying whole contents of blower (which had been collecting it's own dust collection apparently) all over sensor - you only do that once!

After a wet clean...

Hmm... is this going to become the "show how dirty your sensor is" thread? :p
