Is the Canon 5D MKII Reliable

On the whole would you say the 5D MKII is a reliable camera?
Today Canon UK confirmed they are aware of the mirror problem?
Does anybody know of any other issues?

Other than having the creaky CF door replaced under warranty mine has had no reliability issues at all.

The CF door hadn't failed I would add, it was just audible and annoying when using heavy lenses.

Just look at how many pros are using the 5d Mark II - if there were common issues we'd all know by now!

My cameras been sent back with 3 faults one being the mirror locks up and freezes.
Canon UK today told me they are aware of a mirror problem on the 5d mkii.
I assume they are refuring to when mirror locks up. They didnt elaborate any further

I've not experienced any issues - and have easily rattled off 10k of actuations in the last couple of months - if not more....

it works every day, but not sure I'd say reliable to focus

+1 on that David. My 40D seems to have a more reliable AF although the 5DII is much sharper it seems.

On the whole I like the 5D - just needs an AF upgrade,
