Is the D700 still available new ?

as above , thinking of upgrading from my D300 and cant afford a D800.
had a look around on line and non of the major retailers seem to have the D700 for sale.

anyone know where i could get one from a reputable UK source ?

thanks i knew it was discontinued but thought some people might have old stock then needed to shift ..

i wasn't impressed with the D600 to be honest , so will have to save the extra £200 and get the D800..

Agree, you can get a decent SH D700 if budget is an issue

I said it another thread recently, to me the second hand prices of D700's at the moment make it an absolute bargain. They regularly seem to go for around £900, it's a heck of a lot of camera for that money!

If you purchase from a reputable used dealer (MPB for example), you'd have at least six months peace of mind and recourse should you not be happy with the body.
